Brian Wood, CEO & Chairman of the Board
Brian is the CEO of Observint Technologies and has served as Chairman of the Board since the organization was formed and acquired Supercircuits in August 2006.
Prior to joining the team, Brian spent 18 years with Dell, Inc., where he held a variety of executive and general management roles including VP/GM of the Dell US Public Sector business and VP/GM of the Dell Large Enterprise business. Prior to joining Dell, Brian was a faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin and an independent consultant.
Brian holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Troy West, Operating Partner
As Operating Partner, Troy is focused on applying his experience in developing high growth, high performance organizations; transformation of go-to-market models; and implementation of business management systems to better serve Observint’s customers.
Prior to his role at Observint, Troy was an executive with Dell for 25 years, with a focus on P&L accountability over diverse domestic and international business segments. In his previous position as Vice President and General Manager of Dell’s $2 billion Federal segment, Troy focused on enabling government customers to adopt IT environments using disruptive technologies including cloud computing, data center modernization, mobility and cyber security solutions to help them operate more flexibly and cost-effectively.
Troy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Texas, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Caritas of Austin and Austin Hills Young Life.
Jeff has over 20 years of experience as an owner of a variety of businesses, including award-winning, privately-held businesses recognized multiple years running by the Austin Business Journal, Puget Sound Business Journal, and A+ Better Business Bureau ratings. Jeff combines his experience, acumen, and track record of increasing sales to identify growth opportunities and executing on them to benefit the investment while enhancing transactional customer satisfaction at Observint.
In his early career, Jeff worked at AT&T and US West prior to starting and running Tel West as President/CEO in 1998. Tel West was named the third fastest growing private company. In the years since its inception, he consolidated numerous other niche telecommunications companies.
Jeff obtained a dual degree in Marketing and Business Management from the University of Oregon.
Dick Hunter spent 10 years at Dell where he served as Vice President of Dell Americas Operations. In that role, he managed the day-to-day operations of Dell’s manufacturing facilities in Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Eldorado de Sul, Brazil.
In his most recent role at Dell, Dick was responsible for all of the customer contact centers, worldwide, for Dell’s consumer business.
Prior to joining Dell, Dick Hunter worked for General Electric, Texas Instruments and Ericsson. He has more than 32 years of experience in high tech, manufacturing operations, and supply chain management.
Dick graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, serves on the Georgia Tech College of Computing Advisory Board and on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology China Leaders for Manufacturing Governing Board.
