Email Marketing Automation Manager

Understanding and optimizing the customer journey is essential to the success of our business. This role will help us better influence that journey and communicate more effectively and personally with both current and potential customers. Through the management of our email lists, our customer database and our marketing campaigns, the Email Marketing Automation Manager will drive revenue and engagement by planning and executing marketing campaigns targeted specifically to different segments of our business. You will combine marketing strategy, best practices, and strong communications skills to directly influence incremental increases in sales, customer retention and lead generation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the email calendar and daily production, execution, list building, testing and reporting of B2Band B2C email marketing campaigns for three businesses
  • Create, implement and measure automated marketing campaigns Acquire new email prospects through various online and offline channels
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to create campaigns that maximize consideration and revenue
  • Work with design resources to create elegant emails that increase consideration and elevate the brand
  • Manage the growth and integrity of the marketing prospects database including list imports, segmentation, and data scrubbing
  • Spearhead any issues associated with our ESP, validate email functionality and appearance across browsers, devices and platforms, and ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations
  • Track and analyze demand generation and web performance metrics to continually improve campaign performance
  • Test email designs for deliverability and rendering issues across devices, browsers and operating systems
  • Develop A/B tests and implement winning scenarios to increase sales and customer engagement


  • Minimum of 5 years of digital marketing and email strategy, development and execution
  • Successful track record of creating and implementing online marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results
  • Knowledge of ESPs and marketing automation tools like Bronto and Pardot Knowledge of CRMs and ERPs like Salesforce and Netsuite
  • In-depth understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, and frequency
  • Ability to report, analyze, and make recommendations based on metrics
  • Experience and comfort writing email copy that drives customer engagement
  • Marketing mindset; your daily activities are aligned with and driven by sales goals
  • Extremely organized and motivated; able to manage time and drive multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field


  • Understanding of HTML, Photoshop, and email design
